This site is just too slow!

I was a rather active member of P&P last year but in the past few months I have lost interest because I get tired of waitng for the page to load.  Every action (ending a pick, adding a pick, sorting by score, etc.) tests my patience as I wait for the page to refresh.  I don't have this experience with other sites.  Can something be done about this?...

Predictions and Prognostications

Time to toot my horn a little for anyone still reading before the big Turkey Day holiday. Back in Feb of this year I wrote a blog post about IMAX. Here is what I said:

"My prediction is that the stock will double by the end of 2010, target price $24."

As of today, the stock has passed the $26 mark and still seems to have momentum. So I got that one right - yay!

In April I wrote about 3 little rocket stocks - Joe's Jeans, Jamba Juice, and Keryx Biopharm. Well shortly after that the market retreated and all 3 of those picks stalled out, went down or sideways since then. Not so good. I still believe that all 3 have great potential though. I was early on those picks. I expect them all to outperform over the next 12 months or so.

So my next prediction is that oil and gas stocks are where the real hidden values are right now. I like KOG, REXX, and ECA in particular.

Anybody else have thoughts about this?...

Is Golden Minerals worth $100?

A few days ago I came across a small mineral exploration company whose stock shot up from about $7 to $20+. When I began to investigate Golden Minerals (ticker: AUMN) I found that the news of positive drill results at their gold mine in Argentina was responsible for the big move. That was followed by a Dahlman Rose upgrade with a price target of $104 (later reduced to a target of $85).

I have my doubts, but the stock has continued its meteoric rise, now trading for $26 and change. For now I am just watching and waiting for more news or opinions from others that might help me decide whether this company's prospects are real. Anyone on this site have any insights?...
