Interesting pick?
Author TickerBandit     Date 2009-11-03 22:57:28
How so Mo? I see it dissappointed. Heck I didn't know it was reporting today. LOL. It screened out of my IBD list. I guess 3J is right about STEC?
Author Burtman     Date 2009-11-04 06:23:32
Hey Mo, Can you repost your STEC blog? I think in the stream I predicted below $19 for this dawg but I can't pull up your blog history. Can you post it again? I want to see if I actually made that prediction. Because I think I did. Just want to confirm I'm doing good reading charts. Hope nobody owned this.

Thanks

Shhhhhneikies! Maaayun are you gonna git yerass kicked. 3J, considering it was around the first week of August that Mo blogged on STEC, I would say you've had a pretty "hard job" working out the following comparative performance with MightyMo:

Hey guys..

I'll admit defeat on STEC. I learned a good lesson on insider buying. Now time to move on.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-04 09:01:27
I doan really "trust" those "numbas" ...cept to say my performance over the past 30 daze waaaay outshines yers and that's including the estree 1500 points and related sweetness I'll get whenst the UIS 1/10 reverse split is eventually adjusted to my flavor. Looka Mack's returns....can someone actually be down 78% by going predominantly long this market. I doubt it. It doan matter wherst we is...it's wherst we are going...right? :-) Yes Mighty Mouth...you were soundly trounced and I certainly "hope" you can get used to it cause you certainly don't learn from it. *-) 3J

Burtman and JJ joker

On this site, if you didn't have enough conviction to short the stock in the PP. THEN IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. The only thing that shows proof about your stock picks is if you have it in the PP as a long or short. That's how this site works!
Next time any of you brag about a stock, show proof, put it in the PP!!! ...and JJ Joker, the PP numbers are real, you're not however..but you are good for a laugh..
Author MightyMo     Date 2009-11-04 09:39:11
TB

Congrats...great call and timing on shorting FAZ..SPXU..SKF .. and demostrating that call by placing it in the PP.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-04 10:05:47
The bad news fer TB about the ole FAZoo is that he'll be ssstuck witit thru the close. Well....it "might" not be that bad since he'll be able to panic out on the open tamarrah just befo it trades thru twenny fo. :-) The reeeeeall bad news is "obviously" the ole STECaroo...solely responsible for TB's move belowst the 3% per pick waterline by which even the suckiest of traders who are long a raging bull market ALWAYS stay above >>> :-( I'll see ifn I kin getit to turn somewherst just under $13 dollahs....unless a new n improved n lower trendlow comes in of course. That would be a BIG gulp! :o Of course TB has been known to panic out of 25%+ losers in the past too. :-) BTW, thur Mighty Mouth....I closed STEC out this moanin with a 21% gain just cuz I felt sorry for ya...thas why it doan sho up on me open list no mo. I did mention that it twas going lower tho, so that "should" make ya feel better. Purty kewel how quickly them thur 100%+ losses turn into 20%+ gains whenst you are right as rain like I am...ainna? Could I have done it without you? Why sho! But it was soooooo much more fun just kickin yer sorry azz :-) 3J

Thanks Mo.

OK, regarding STEC. When it traded below $20 I felt its value was compelling. That said, I was holding a small chunck of it going into its earnings. I had forgotten when it was reporting, although I'm not certain whether I would have sold it anyway. Anyhoo, as I watch this stock this morning "in its madness" here are some things which occur to me.

STEC has a float of 32 million shares and a short interest of 14.3 million shares. OK. Since earnings it has trade almost 28 million shares. Its a valid question. So many really want out now?

Another valid question is. How many really want to borrow the remaining 16 million shares and go short? This is an obvious washout so I did the obvious. I quadrupled the position at 14.92 (still within my trading rules for diversification) and I will see where she goes. I don't normally add to a losing position, but this is an exception I think worth doing. Cheers.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-04 10:32:26
TB, catching falling knives huh? I knew Mighty Mouth was a circus act but I didn know you were...till now anyhoo. BTW, ifn yawnto "hire" me to tell you the "correct" time to add to your position I'm available. Just wait until it breaks belows $13 dollahs so you can prove to yerself I know what I'm doin...ok? Quadrupled your position huh? That means you threw anudder $15K at it...ifn fokes are to believe the way you trade from previous posts. I believe ya. Thaaas why I am offering my ass-sistance. Trust me....you will save alotta $$$ by lettin me handle it. *-) 3J
Author Burtman     Date 2009-11-04 10:41:45
TB,
All I know about STEC now is that there are two gaps. One higher to $24 and one lower to $10. I'm guessing once the $10 gets taken out then it's on to $24. But that is only a guess.
Mo,
If your gonna delete everything you spew about so there is no record. THEN DON'T SPEW!!! That is weak! Back up what you say or don't say it at all. I know I said this piece o crap was goin to $19! You just deleted it!
Author TickerBandit     Date 2009-11-04 10:48:48
Burt,

I respectfully disagree. STEC isn't going to do that for reasons I've already stated. But its only an educated guess :-) Cheers.
Author TickerBandit     Date 2009-11-04 10:50:24
How many of you would be surprised to see STEC close today's gap?
Author Burtman     Date 2009-11-04 10:50:48
Agreed TB, and I wish you the best. Most of the time I see gaps filled. I'll say most. STEC could easliy have some ups to it before it goes to $10. You'll get out of this. I wouldn't follow you if you couldn't.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-04 11:12:04
Well, it "looks like" it twill be putting in a new n improved n lower trendlow somewherst above 14.50....unless of course the market totally reverses cuz ifn that happens even more cockaroaches are gonna jump outta STEC and the trendlow gets extendo'd all the way to the point wherst the ADX line breaks up to 80. Then you will see some relief. But you won't see a gapfill until whatever todaze low ends up being gets taken out. You can look at RIMM's chart to see that gaps don't need to be filled. STEC isn't anywherst near being able to generate the type o'posi sentiment a stock like RIMM can generate. STEC was simply a tool used by the corporate insiders to take advantage of idiots...aka, shareholders. You fellahs "should" be pee-a-zissed but I'll tell you what. Tain't nuphin you could doabout it anyhoo. The S.E.C. is too busy making sho the govmint...I mean, GS werks "the plan" to purrfeckshun. "Luckily" for you I'm around. *-) 3J
Author TickerBandit     Date 2009-11-04 11:18:08
Thanks Burt.

3J, I haven't a clue where the trendlow is, but there are only so many cockroaches to "flush out" when the stock trades its float (which STEC has the potential of doing today).
Author TickerBandit     Date 2009-11-04 11:21:22
Well it looks like STEC "might have" just experienced the final flush before rally. :-)

I'm signing off and catch up later.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-04 11:29:20
The trendlow just got started at 14.75 so it'll extend down to wherever the low for this move ends up being....right now at 14.60. I wish I had left the pick open so you woulda been able to track all of the trendlows off the high. I posted all of em. Basically, this new one means that STEC has a future date with sub $10 dollahs...minimum...just like Burtski says. The absolute werstest scenario would be ifn STEC traded to say $14 dollahs right now...and then got trapped by the high end o'this trendlow ....which as I said is 14.75. The float can turn over many times whenst bottom fishers realize thur Miss Take and just dump cuz they "finally" got even on the trade. That's more likely what you have to look forward to with STEC. I "doubt" you will see yestermadaze closing price befo ya see $10 dollahs at this point. We shall see. 3J

I never deleted the post on STEC. You just don't know how to use the system! Ask your buddy, the JOKER..at least he knows how.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-04 15:43:12
Maaayun this POS that is STEC sux. The trendlow gets extended down to 14.04 and it STILL ainna done dumpin. Ooooh well..."perhaps GOOG news outta CISCO will run da beitch up to 14.75 at least...who knows? Well...all we know fo sho is that STEC now has a future date with at least 9.82..to be eggZackt! Let's get on the horn to everybody we know TB n Mighty Mouth...if we all buy 100 shares "maybe" it'll stop the bleeding. At least Xmas is almost here. What does this scam of a company make product-wise? Everybody in TB's family gets 10 o'those fer Xmas. :-) Sorry bout the razzin thur TB...sorry that what I sed about the ole FAZoo "looks like" it's coming troo too...troo too? Is that even a werd? I'm sure you'll panic "properly" ...Mighty Mouth...show TB how it's done...son. :-) 3J

Hi

Time for a shameless plug. My broker, Charles Schwab, now has free commission ETF's. That's huge for me. I don't know if other brokers are doing likewise? I might do less rydex and pro funds now.
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-05 10:47:55
This POS has actually got a chance now...but it'll need to takeout yestermadaze low (14.04 methinks it twas) without signaling lower lows are due. That "might" be tuff with the markets about to selloff here soon. You will want to see sloooooow selling down to takeout the low. If selling accelerates it's a definite ut oh! :o Based on the trendlow just formt it "should" trade no higher than 19.20 or so...but ya "might" get lucky and they'll run it up to the last majer ray-ziss-tance at $21 dollahs. But like I said...with the markets about to selloff purty substantially (Mighty Mouth will panic out of FAZ with a 10%+ loss for instance) I doubt STEC gets any relief until the market selloff is done. The VIX will trade thru 31.84....thaaas how you'll know. *-) GOOG luck to ya TB! :-) 3J

I sold my STEC at 14.44. Today's trade has not been like the prior day was a wash out. I would assume from the action that there were plenty of new buyers and that the market makers inventories are not swollen with STEC. I positioned long calls in EMS AAPL and CERN among other positions today.
Author TickerBandit     Date 2009-11-05 15:01:30
See you guys next week :-)
Author JoeJustJoe     Date 2009-11-05 16:15:29
Not sure you like the EMS results since that gapdown to belowst $42 goes bye bye. I also sssthink AAPL moves lower before it "finally" trades up thru $2 hunnert. CERN could go either way but methinks "the plan" by Manny and his band o'Manipulators is to take em down foist. I'm wreckin we will know eggZack'sly ifn my ass-umptions are valid come 8:30 EST tamarrah. Stay as giddy as I am :-) 3J
