Is this drug on the market yet? and is it effective against trigeminal neuralgia?

No and no. I eagerly anticipate market approval for migraine; I expect to use it extensively for patients if practice supports the clinical trials.

Thank you for the info....have TN...none of the usual are waning nor can tolerate such as carbo, etc. so results in pain control med's....ie opiate. That field has been handed over to pain control clinics w/ neur's not accepting me out of fear, & the same with p. clinics. What to do even with great insurance?

sorry for your difficulty--there are surgical options, but I expect you have explored them.

Yes, I have. I have had a bit too with no success. Do you have a contact? I do not enjoy advertising my pers. on this forum? I will input my email add. for a time then remove it so it will be removed when you ack. receipt. Have done a tremendous amount of research on Medscape FYI.

What is your opinion of Medtronics located out of San Diego? That also might be an option for some of your difficult patients.

Actually don't know anything about medtronics. I believe it would be best also to discuss personal medical issues with your neurologist--best wishes.

Medtronic's will take over very difficult patients, however, they also train clinics to administer. It is located outside of San Diego, and is on the Internet. I am a peer on Medscape and have no intent to discuss my personal problems. It is my understanding the reason there is great difficulty finding a neurologist is due to the inefficient health bill that left out the neurology field so this does leave individuals in a bind.
