Shares of the Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) behaved pretty well during their first two round trips in the P&P portfolio, and I suspect they may perform OK over the next week or so, as well. Details of Dendreon's IMmunotherapy for Prostate AdenoCarcinoma Treatment (IMPACT) Phase 3 clinical trial of Provenge will be presented during a plenary session at the American Urological Association's annual meeting on Apr 28 at 3:20 pm ET.

Well, Mack, "looks like" I was off a tad on my %'s....I said thur was a 70% chance it twood take out the 22.10 high befo it crashed n boined. I "shoulda" said thur was a 100% chance. :-) Noooow, the question is whether or not they gots the gutz to run the pig to the $25 area....knowing that I will be anxious to spalunk this gross pig once it breaches 22.10. We "know" you won't be holding for much longer anyhoo...right, Mack? :-) 3J

Howdy, 3J!

We "know" you won't be holding for much longer anyhoo...right, Mack?

Is this assertion based on the same analysis that led you to "know" DNDN was a good candidate for shorting at $6.25 a stub on Apr 6, 2009?

To be honest with ya, Mack...I care little about the news announcement. I'd chort this opening move thru 6.60. I'll have da beeyotch up as a new pick at the close ifn it can only "hang in there" above say 6.25. :-) 3J

Good luck!

Well, "kinda" similar, I did sssplain why I refrained from adding it to me list at 6.25. You just conveniently forget to revisit that particular commentary o'mine. :-) The windup is that when you see it on me list you will see it....and yes...you will see it. :-) No need to get into an argument I can't win since you want to "shade the trooth" about what I said. LOL 3J

DNDN rapidly approaching "the numba" I mentioned whenst I said thur was a 70% chance it would rally to take out the 22.10. Relax, Mack, no thanks necessary....and don't worry about "how I knew" :-) 3J

Mack, not sure ifn it's a "false read" on DNDN but for some reason I am showing a quote of 11.81!! Ifn that is in fact a true quote I will honor your request you made at your FXP bored and make sure you hang in thur until Mr. Sim catches up....just like you did with O'dePussy Complex. :-) 3J

Howdy, 3J!

Mack, not sure ifn it's a "false read" on DNDN but for some reason I am showing a quote of 11.81!

I believe the DNDN market makers were having a bit of fun running the stops in connection with the trading halt, so I think it is a "true read."

Ifn that is in fact a true quote I will honor your request you made at your FXP bored and make sure you hang in thur until Mr. Sim catches up....just like you did with O'dePussy Complex.

I will not be going anywhere. However, I suspect both Zaphod and you may get screwed on your DNDN short-entry price here at P&P because there is a good chance the trading halt may be effective until tomorrow at 0900 ET.

Oh, well. I would have caught you in the P&P standings sooner or later, anyway, so I guess it does not make a whole lot of difference.

Good luck!

Ahhh....don't be so hard on yourself Mack, I'm sure you will "eventually" find another 200%er....and next time who knows? "Perhaps" that play will actually be GOOG enuff to get your ave return per pick up thru 3%. Then you can begin thinking about catching me. Until then....GOOG luck to ya? *-) BTW, did you see the high today? >>> $25 dallahs smack dead on. I am trying to make believers o'the masses one sheeplette at a time. Is thur any doubt in your mind now that I am >>> "back from the future" ??? :o 3J

Actually yes...yes I did see the high tomorrow. I guess this means you STILL aren't a believer? :-) BTW, the "actual" gapola low today wuz 7.50 ...and the chart says that low goes bye bye....gulp. :o Thus my reason to get to the close in a hurry before this POS starts trading again and Mr Sim gives me todaze closing price. :-) 3J

Mack.....need a new target to keep my group in if there is one....so if you can't answer this possibly 3J can. It is currently trading around 26 prior to open today. I have seen stocks do what that did so many times and I would say it is their way of lathering...soap....then rinsing....as you so well put it. Our last converse was it would go to 22 target per 3J and then you added something further regarding a put option. As I said I need to pass this onto a whole slew of people prior to open so please give me the correct info if you would or estimate. The report gives one 4 1/2 more months longivity so do you really think that is a good report for men. Let's face it 4 1/2 months is not all that much time but then depends I guess. I would give anything to spend 4 1/2 more months with my son so possibly that may be the value all that are affected see in it....what do you think?

NVAX and MedCo for this flu and biohazard materials. Look them up.

Howdy, Ktoyou!

Mack.....need a new target to keep my group in if there is one....so if you can't answer this possibly 3J can.

Please do not associate my bloviations with 3J's bloviations in any way, shape, or form. Also: In the context of DNDN, I do not employ share-price targets in my work.

It is currently trading around 26 prior to open today. I have seen stocks do what that did so many times and I would say it is their way of lathering...soap....then rinsing....as you so well put it.

According to the International Securities Exchange, DNDN's implied-volatility index mean is currently 538.59, which indicates the equity may continue to experience wild swings in value.

Our last converse was it would go to 22 target per 3J

This should be obvious, but I expressly disassociate myself from anything promulgated by 3J about the stock market in general and DNDN in particular.

and then you added something further regarding a put option.

Unlikely. In conversations centered on the management of risk associated with owning shares of DNDN, I typically mention covered calls, which I believe are quite helpful.

Assuming you wish to invest or trade in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical space, I think you need to have a working knowledge of statistics. According to Dendreon's press release titled Data Presented at AUA Demonstrate Provenge Significantly Prolongs Survival for Men with Advanced Prostate Cancer in Pivotal Phase 3 IMPACT Study, "Provenge extended median survival by 4.1 months compared to placebo (25.8 months versus 21.7 months)." The word median in this context means one-half of the patients on Provenge lived longer than 25.8 months while one-half of the patients on placebo lived longer than 21.7 months. Here is an example of the import of this meaning in the real world: In 1990, Eduardo Garcia was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thereafter, he responded well to surgery. In 1999, however, his cancer progressed, spreading to his bones. Then, his cancer stopped responding to hormone therapy. In 2002, Mr. Garcia entered the D9901 Phase 3 study of Provenge. As of last year (i.e., 2008), Mr. Garcia was still doing well, so I suspect he could be with us a good while longer.

As one whose family has been devastated by cancer, I therefore believe the IMPACT results are not good but great.

Good luck!

Howdy, AK!

Just wanted to say thanks again for all your efforts on behalf of such a worthy cause.

Thanks for the kind words! However, I am only an investor and trader, so I myself am grateful to the research scientists (e.g., Ralph M. Steinman), medical technologists (e.g., David L. Urdal), and patient advocates (e.g., Care To Live, Accelerate Progress, Abigail Alliance). Based on the aggregated results of the three Phase 3 clinical trials of Provenge, my guess is Mr. Steinman and others are likely to share the Nobel Prize in Medicine -- sooner rather than later -- for their contributions in advancing immunotherapy in the treatment of cancer. I am feeling like George Jetson right about now . . .

For those "who care" about the technical anal-ysis...the $22 area "shoulda been" pretty "decent" support. Right now it is at 21.65 after trying to attack $22 just after it put in the 21.31 opening low. Ifn it moves lower from here I'll let Mack take over :-) But! .."Hopefully" I can get it thru $22 so you fokes will get yet one more chance to realize your mistake. I don't mean about the product or service DNDN offers either. I mean about the fact that "Wall St" is in control of this stock. Translation? >>> You R FUKT!!! LOL 3J

Howdy, AK!

Ay Caramba! Great day for DNDN today!

You know, I noticed that. Apparently, one or more institutional investors chose today to get into a better position for Dendreon's Analyst Day on Sep 24 (http://tinyurl.com/on46p5). Of course, I did the same thing -- a couple of weeks ago. Woo-hoo!

Good luck!

Hi Mack!

Ay Caramba!... Again!

Best AK

Howdy, AK!

Ay Caramba!... Again!

Indeed. At the risk of being redundant, I believe there are at least three potential DNDN share-price drivers in the short term, as follows:

-- The above-referenced Analyst Day, which will be conducted next week.

-- Dendreon's announcement of the final sensitivity analysis of the IMPACT clinical-trial results, which should be excellent and could come either then or shortly thereafter (i.e., a matter not of months but of weeks or days).

-- The company's announcement it has completed the submission of its latest biologic license application for Provenge to the FDA, which is anticipated in the fourth quarter.

Of course, all three of them feed into the rumors of a takeover, which I think are just that: Rumors.

Good luck!
