Tetra Tech Inc. (TTEK) received a $55 million contract to continue its service for high priority pollution prevention programs together with evaluation of innovative technologies and provision of research and development support to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Research Laboratory.
Since the year 2000, the company had been in the FEATS and STREAMS contracts. The current contract, new Scientific, Technical, Research, Engineering, and Modeling Support (STREAMS) II contract, is a descendant of earlier contracts.
The contract is for a period of five years. During this term, the company will develop and evaluate techniques and devices, which can decrease pollution of air, land, and water, and re-establish ecosystems. Additional work under the contract involves treatability studies and pilot-scale investigations, risk assessments and characterization of site, development and evaluation of models, and provision of technical support to different programs including the USEPA Superfund Program, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Program, and the USEPA Office of Water.
