Airgas Inc. (ARG) is partnering with MacEwen Petroleum Inc., Maxville, Ontario, to distribute AiRx Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) in Canada. MacEwen is a leading supplier of petroleum products to customers ranging from retail to wholesale to commercial and residential markets. MacEwen is also a leading convenience store operator with its C-store Brand.

Airgas AiRx DEF is used in diesel engines and helps reduce harmful diesel exhaust pollutants with the help of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. The product has a certification from the American Petroleum Institute (API) and complies with EPA clean air regulations.

Airgas is a reliable supplier and has an immense distribution network, which has influenced MacEwen to join hands with Airgas. Besides, MacEwen has an amazing track record as a supplier and is confident that the alliance of the two can successfully serve the Canadian markets. Airgas has recently realigned its operations dividing it into four divisions:  viz, West, North, South and Central to reap the benefits from its new customized SAP information platform. Airgas has also made two major acquisitions including Waterford, Connecticut-based ABCO Gases, Welding and Industrial Supply Company Inc.

ABCO and Bloomington, Indiana-based Pain Enterprises Inc. The merits of these strategic actions are likely to be reflected in the next quarterly results of the company. Currently, the company retains a Zacks #2 Rank, which translates into a short-term (1 to 3 months) Buy rating.
