Pervasive Software Inc. (PVSW) and SuccessFactors, Inc. (SFSF) recently announced the teaming up of that Pervasive and SuccessCloud to deliver integration for SuccessFactors Business Executive Software Suite.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Pervasive provides data management and integration software products to small- and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) through a well-developed channel of independent software vendors (ISVs), value-added resellers (VARs) and system integrators (SI). Its solutions enable customers to manage, integrate, analyze and secure their data.

By connecting and integrating different systems with SuccessFactors Business Execution Software, The SuccessCloud Technology Partner Program ensures that business gets valuable information on key trends and strategies.

Earlier, Pervasive completed the purchase of assets from Greenville, SC-based ChanneLinx, Inc. for approximately $2.6 million. South Carolina-based ChanneLinx Inc. is a privately held technology company which helps businesses in web-based data interchange (WebDI). The ChanneLinx assets which have been acquired generated approximately $2.0 million in revenue in the last twelve months.

Meanwhile, management reiterated its guidance for the first quarter of fiscal 2010, ending Sep 30, 2009. The company expects revenues between $10.5 million and $11.5 million and EPS (excluding one-time charges) is estimated between $0.04 and $0.07. The company had reported strong results for the fourth quarter of 2009 but management stated the September quarter is typically challenging for the company due to the seasonality associated with summer months.

Achieving and maintaining consistent profitability in trying times has been the underlying theme in the PVSW story and the company has succeeded in achieving growth in both top and bottom lines. The company has roughly $43 million on cash in its balance sheet and no debt. This allows PVSW to focus on growth drivers, including accretive M&A opportunities.
