(1) the focus of the President and the US Congress SHOULD have been, and should NOW BE on the US Economy, and getting people, that want to work, back to work by stopping the transfer of intellectual property, technology, and outsourcing to other countries.

2) the USA should examine every tax (FICA, FUTA, etc) burden on USA companies, and the tax burdens on competing products imported into the USA, and (a) where lower foreign taxes allow the competition to reduce or offer their products for less, forcing USA companies to reduce prices, which reduce operating margins, then the USA should IMPOSE a tax, equaling the difference to remove that unfair advantage, and (b) use the procedes from the tax SOLELY, to reduce USA debt by buying back the highest interest bearing outstanding US Treasuries debt issues.

Outsourcing is detrimental to our employment statistics, and therefore to our economy. But it doesn't make sense NOT to outsource, from the employer's perspective. It's time for the American employee to GET REAL, and recapture our lost work ethic. Employers have discovered that Americans not only are too demanding of wages and benefits; they are lazier than the immigrants and foreigners. Work as little as possible. Isn't that right?? No persperation allowed. I'm sorry to generalize, and of course there are many exceptions, but these are things we cannot continue to ignore as we have for the past 30 years. It is time to stop whimpering about being victimized, and start accepting some of the responsibility.

I agree on, and with, the employer's perspective on dropping employees to outsource for profits to the bottom line.
