New blog post analyzing Intel and AMD. Demand for PCs and business server investment is anticipated to rise as the world climbs out of the recession. I do a cross sectional and time series analysis as well as identify qualitative facts to determine which company will be best positioned to meet the new demand for microprocessors. I agree, the company has had week financial performance throughout the past 10 years. That is why I decided to go with Intel over AMD in my report.

I prefer AMD over INTC at this price point just to disagree with yuns fine fellahs. INTC already topped out on the most recent errrrnuns report and can now move to sub $10 dollahs longer term. AMD still needs to trade thru the 10.04 52 week high altho I "doubt" it gits thur on this move with a 10% correcktion coming in the overall markets. :-) Just my opinion of course but ifn you are gonna get an opinion it may as well be from someone who IS the market...no? :-) 3J

I prefer AMD for the next year or two based on valuation and some of the chips they are coming out with but INTC should do better over the longer term. I also see AMD as a more pure PC play as INTC is more diversified into other applications. This may also account for differences in earnings.

It's "questionable" ifn INTC even needs to trade back up thru 21.10 where I "know" fo sho AMD left a nonconfirmt high at 10.04. Longer term AMD has MUCH more downside %wise than INTC does. AMD will git cut in half at least thrice....INTC only needs to trade into the $7's I sssthink it twas. Not werth ssscheckin either since it's got a loooong way ta go. I'd rather werk on chit I kin rexscue in short order...like STEC n VISN to name 2. I "doubt" that either o'those get cut in half once from current levels...but it'd be nice. :-) Right cheeeya right now it "looks like" rally chasin morons from last week are about to git thur gains painfully eliminated. I'm wreckin the SPX moves to at least 1120 now. As always it is best to panic errrly and avoid the rush. Once yuns sheeple are done panicing I'll see what I kin do to generate anudder rally to chase. :-) 3J
