I just learned that the first ThanksGiving was celebrated by the 12 remaining Pilgrim Fathers that arrived in the MayFlower, half a year earlier. The first part of the Fathers left in the Speed Well from Leiden, Holland, joining the MayFlower in Plymouth. That first part were English Calvinist that fled to Holland earlier. But I am not sure they were all that welcome, here.
Have a nice family reunion. I enjoyed reading your notes.
