70% of average investor takes the Buy / Sell calls issued by various reputable services as ULTIMATE WORD for trading

Example - Goldman issue sell rating on Walmart last week - stock dipped 40 cents that day and has been moving up since that day. Was some one drunk at Goldman or they wanted traders advantage to buy WMT for a client or use for their own trading?

ZAKS issue sell rating on STD on December 14, 2010 as Rank 5 strong Sell - stock has moved up 17% plus since that call. Will they revise the call - No chance for short term.

Most of the Analyst have system overload and revise at a regulr schedule

JBL has a strong buy - stock at $19 plus and was looking if it is worth buying - Same report where it is Strong buy has a price target of 17 - so what does the report mean.

I am saying that most of reports are valid and we do need them. At the same time we as small investors have charts can take buy or sell or protect profit or stop loss actions.
WITH OUT THE REPORTS I WILL BE AT A GREAT LOSS HOW TO MAKE TRADES. IT CONFUSES THE HELL OUT OF ME AT TIME WHEN I READ VARIOUS RESEARCH REPORT. SOME TIME I DIG FURTHER OR AT TIMES I SAY GO TO NEXT POTENTIAL STOCK

Here is another sample
ZAKS made a great Bear of the day call on DEC 23 2010 for HCBK. ZAKS also ugraded to Neutral on Jan 13 2011 and issued a strong sell today
ZACKS COMMENTARY FOR HCBK
Jan 19, 2011 Zacks Blog: Hudson City Beats Marginally
Jan 13, 2011 Zacks Blog: Hudson City Upped to Neutral
Jan 07, 2011 Bear of the Day: Hudson City Bancorp (HCBK)
Dec 21, 2010 Zacks Blog: Zacks Bull and Bear of the Day Highlights: Nelnet, Hudson City Bancorp, General Motors, Autoliv and Toyota Motors
Dec 21, 2010 Bear of the Day: Hudson City Bancorp (HCBK)

My take HCBK is oversold here - Action bought HCBK Jan 10 3012 call at $1.65 - my target 12.5 plus in 3 months (meaning 40% return on small investment)- can still take further dip - I will use stop loss and sell if options dip below $1.20.
Please do your own math

ZACKS COMMENTARY FOR JRJC
Dec 02, 2010 Zacks Blog: Zacks #1 Rank Additions for Thursday
The stock is down 16.8% in 49 days from addition to ZAKS Rank 1
It is still Rank 1
AS I SAID THE SERVICES LIKE ZAKS OR BROKERAGE DO NOT REACT QUICK ENOUGH FOR INDIVIDUAL INVEATORS.
Is JRJC a better buy today after 16% hit
I have traded JRJC in personal account and sold my position around 7.65 now at 6.04. I was just checking if the rating for the stock to consider buying. Not sure looking at chart pattern.

It still stock pickers market or one can spot sector rotation and take advantage of it.
As a basket Rank1 stocks will out perform Rank 5 stocks. I firmly support that statement.
I personally have problem to accept each recommendation at its face value
