Merill Lynch buy rating does not have a performance history like Zacks Ranking. So trust Zacks.

ZAKS is a great service, if one understands it.
They offer and sell a multitude of stock picking services. One need to understand what each one does and use it ti their advantage

Research the answer on zacks website, it is all there.

I think that the complete ranking system is proprietary, but they repeatedly state that estimate revisions is an important driver for it. My own observations and statistical verifications support the estimate revision part. In my opinion, Zacks ranking only works for the smaller stocks with some reasonable daily dollar volumes.

If you consider a stock price as a statistical quantity, it only makes sense to study the dynamics of a pack of 12 or more. A few individual stocks may then deviate completely from the main direction of the pack. I owned ICLK during the past 5 weeks as it was a Zacks Rank #1 stock during that period. It belonged to my pack of 12 best ZR#1’s (see one of my first blogs on how I select those). I lost more than -20% on that stock, real-life, but the total pack of 12 made 11% over five weeks. Last week, ICLK changed rank to ZR#4, and this week it regained 10% in just two days. I don’t think that many people have the consistent talent to single out good and bad picks. That is why I use statistics of packs of stocks.

I subscribed to zacks for two years. Tried all their screens and some to pick stocks. Back tested the screens and chose the best with the most potential. Didn't do anything for me at all. Got out of there and paid $110 to TradeHR for a year's worth of stock picks. And, started swing trading. Between TradeHR and self stock picks, have made 12% in the last two months.

Have begun to trade options. Any of you folks out there help me with where to find data on option greeks?
