I am buying XOM up side option call = Risk / Reward
I have been trading XOM and HIG options for small profit for last 3 days
To me both offer reasonable risk and reward. One can gain 10 to 15% on short term trades
HID Sept 20 call = traded between 1.66 to 1.89
XOM 60 call = has high delta

This for folks who use options as stock replacement trades.

Bought GNK 15.49 sold covered call Aug 16 call at 25 cents or $25
Lowers break even to 15.30, potential profit 70c in one week meaning about 4% = good enogh for my risk and reward
Stock took a dive - meaning short term loss for the day

Bought in real money account at 18.58 and sold Aug 19 call for 29 cents = potential gain 3% in next 4 days - break even 18.35

It was a see saw day. Market had negative bias at open due to Japanese GDP below expectations. This was some what balnced by China having a better day.
At the end it just ended as a draw = meaning the market can swing either way depending upon non equity news. Looking at the news for Tuesday, the set up negative.

I use 3 to 6 contracts and spread my risk and reward.
One can take more if they like and depends upon ones risk tolerance and portfolio size. My trading cost for option trades is $1 per contract and as such can buy and sell in any incremental number I like.
Had bought STX dec 10 calls yesterday on dip at 1.96 sold Dec 14 calls at 43 cents today cost 1.45 potential profit 80 cents or close for 40 cents loss
I will be buyer of INSU around 31.25 (Buy INSU 21.25 Day Executed EXE @ 21.25 - what happens from here is trade management profit or loss)
