Please see my blog of Feb 4 on joining forces with others who want to make serious money based on past history. The blog title was “Will like to join forces with 5 to 10 stock investors / traders”

Most of us have watched certain stocks which POP or FLOP at every earning date. (80% of the time)

I have compiled a list of 60 plus earning beaters. 90% of the stocks did beat the expectations on this list. Some stocks go up leading to earning and some POP up after earning. It depends upon if the stock is extended and amount of expectation, short interest and few other sentiments factors.

I am looking for stocks which miss earning 90% of the time based on last 2 years of data.

I will share info based on quality of research work sent to me via e-mail. I will send names of two stocks without any info sent to me. It takes time and time is money. Good info requires sweat equity. I just started compiling the list three weeks ago when I was looking why certain stocks POP up 90% of the earning time. I spent good 40 hours of work to come up with list of 60 plus stocks. It explains why AMZN or NFLX pop up most of the time even with high PE values.
Then there are lots of low PE stocks which POP out of basement once in a while to be sent back to basement at almost every earning. Stock like SWIR has $4 in cash and is selling at $9 – why – just got chopped by 30% in few days. I used to trade in SWIR and lost money. I understand after two years of loss on that stock in personal account. I did not trade SWIR in last 6 months. I sold it around $10.50 last year. I am using P and P web site to test out ideas with loosing or making real money. I do not enter every stock I trade on this web site due to its limitations.

No I am using alternate news service to fine tune the list. I use chart scanning to come up with a basic list and then fine tune it based on 2 years of earning annoncements. I do review ZAKS recommendations. Some times it is too late and the stock has run up 10 to 15% before it goes on Rank 1. Sure one can make money if you use all their recommendations or their methods.
I am looking at setting up my own system with better odds. Earning beat or miss list is a better way to go. Or one can use ZAKS or any charting software for technical trading. I am fascinated by stock movement. For short term traders few days of accumulation or distribution can make money. HPQ, PBR and GILD were being accumulated today. On every dip - folks were buying based on my observation /option trades. One can buy on dips when one has 80 to 90% probability of being right. UPS / WFC was under distribution for last few days
ZAKS do provide good service. I run the scan on week end and use info which I like.

From what I have read about NFLX, this stock is being looked at as a takeover from another company. Typically when their are rumers flying around the stock will go up and down regardless of earnings that beat the street or not. I am not sure if this takevover talk is accurate or not but just my thoughts. I did read NFLX spends around 900 Million with the USPS. If I were the shipping manager there i would have some serious talks with all the rest of the companies that provide shipping services and cut those costs in half.

NFLX Market Cap (intraday)5: 3.38B
There are not too many companies who can beat cost charged by USPS for next day delivery from NFLX to 90% plus homes. Only comapny who has mastered the logistics and on line shopping is AMZN.
I do like NFLX service and am a customer for 8 months in a year. I will be 12 month customer if they allow watching on line movie when out of USA.
Can you think of another one who could be buyers of NFLX?
