MARKET FORECAST

Hi,  I do not expect much from the market before June 5 at the earliest.  We are up against month end jitters.  The short trading week has the big money, market moving, fund managers off exersizing their corporate jets.
The bull market will be here sooner or later and our job is to have some cash in hand to be able to ease in when we think we are nearing the pre bull bottom.
I personnally think that we are seeing support at the current levels.
Some think that the …

Here we go again.  Four years ago with the Treasury Department and The Federal Reserve loaded down with Goldman Sachs people.  They went to Washington and confessed that they had screwed up the global economy and most Americans lives and they needed a massive infusion of taxpayer money to save us all.  The subtext was does any Republican or Democrat want to go into the election season with the second great depression already a foregone conclusion.  And oh by the way we really…

Firmness, if it happens,  in the markets this afternoon will set up the short term environment.  Firmness that starts later in the week will only be a dead cat bounce.
Next things to watch are end of week jitters and then end of month jitters.

JP MORGAN CHASE

Hi, I suspect that JP Morgan / Chase concealed the 2 billion + loss until after the shareholders had already cast their proxy ballots for the board and chairman.

Hi,  Quite soon now we will be rid of the, "Sell in May and go away" crowd.  We can then go back to trading the swings for those of you who understand those techniques.
High Beta on the ups for stocks.  High Betas on the downs if you are using puts.

MARKET DOW SEASON

Hi,  I expect a slow start on the markets today.  Later in the week we will have week end and month end jitters.  Overriding all of this is sell in May and go away.
Should be a pony to ride in that!

Hi,  Earnings season starts today,  Tax selling season starts next week.  The end of the month is usually soft in the market.  Sell in May and go away.
Look for a dodgy market for a bit.  The presidential election year cycle should bode well for the market but it is usually based on the fortunes of the incumbent.  Personal biases aside their is no way to tell wether the tea leaves like OBAMA or Romney.
Protect your cash until you know for sure.

APPLE DOWNGRADE

Leave it to APPLE to turn lemons into lemonade.  They convinced the downgrading analyst to cite as a reason the impending end of the ATT / APPLE contract and subsidy for IPHONES.  This should have the effect of driving IPHONE volume at least for awhile.  Of course this just borrows sales from the future.
I can't believe that ATT won't continue the subsidy.
However unless APPLE has some new and world changing technology in our future they are over priced.
A new vers…
