I believe that there are some great opportunities to be had in some emerging markets if you have the stomach for it. Besides China with its rapidly growing middle class, and India with its highly educated young people looking for western-style creature comforts, I like Brazil and Taiwan. I find it very tough to value Chinese stocks and I think India has more unravelling to do.

Some stocks that I think have great potential right now include HIMX (LCD flat panel displays), and TNE (mobile phone provider). There are also some under-valued shipping stocks that I like including PRGN and NM (and NMM which is a 2007 spin-off).

Anyone else have suggestions?
