With Wal-mart down today, after reporting earnings yesterday, is this a good time to buy Wal-mart (WMT)? Did you know that Wal-Mart has transformed itself or is in the process of transforming itself into a World Mart!

I own WMT and should I buy more now?  The answer, no, not today, but NEXT MONTH will be an excellent time to BUY Wal-mart.

I'll explain why later in the post.

First, my attraction to WMT is that it is a 'safe' stock for capital appreciation that pays dividends! I wrote a post, see link below, explaining why I think WMT is a great buy and one of the safest stocks available. Evidently, another collegue at Alpha Seeker concurs, and wrote a blog on why he likes WMT and why he thinks it's the NO. 1 stock on his list. His reasoning is why I titled this post World Mart instead of Wal-Mart.

The link below is excellent in explaining the international story and acquisition plans of Wal-Mart.

Below is my prior posting on why I like WMT.

WMT has an agressive buy-back stock program and an aggressive dividend growth program. WMT has been paying a dividend for over 25 years and it's dividend payout on average doubles every 3-4 years.

So with WMT down today, due to  concerns of the domestic economy, why not buy WMT now. You could but historically - seasonality wise - WMT's worst month is JUNE. The last five years WMT has been on average down on only two months, Jan and June with June being the worst, then it normally goes up the remaining part of the year. In my case, I'll let the sellers finish their selling on WMT and then jump in.
