Burtski, I'm still scratchin me noggin wonderin whyst he's goin bonkers bout NFLX after he just lost at least 7% on his recent trade. Ifn it twas me I'd be pee-a-zissed. Of course it wouldn be me since I "know" how GOOG a chort NFLX is...and I never woulda bot wherst he did :-) Let's see ifn we kin git anudder attempt to trade da pig out ov im....I SIRIously doubt it. Ehhhh..."maybe" ifn it gits a tad closer to the 52 week high :-) I'm gonna git me "down $100 dollahs in 2 daze" on AAPL still. Thaaas right...A Fri....anna Mon :-) 3J

Evidently you are bearesh on AAPL and you could be right. Anything can happen on a single individual stock. However, I'm sorry, I only bet with Mr Market.

Ah, the one and only JJJ shows up...

The 'Prophet of Doom' recks his beanie brainless head out of his bear hole hiberation today to jack another losing comment. Evidently you haven't read the 'newsletter' of late as I allow a bigger latitude on the percent loss on high beta stocks and bio stocks. NFLX is still in the stable. It is still one of the horses we're riding. In fact tech stocks I have indicated can drop a little in October as I see bigger gains towards the end of the year.

JJJ, I get it. I hear the bear view that America and the whole western world's economy is in shambles and dismal, that the FED printing of money will destroy the dollar, and America's standard of living will go into the toilet, that Oil and the financial markets are in a bubble, that the thought of stocks being cheap is a fool's game, that any stock that goes up in a week is piggy, that China is a bubble waiting to burst, that the Euro will kill Europe. Last time I looked, Greece was still on the map., that Dabai was still a state. I know that each time Mr. Market is knocking on my door with a winner, Mr DOOM is right behind telling me it's a pig. I get it. I hear the bears.
The problem is I don't believe it. In fact, I like the bears, someone has to take the hit.

By the way, how many Fridays do I have to wait to see that prediction on the AAPL massacre. Maybe you need to bet with Burtman on who will be first to have it predicted correctly?

Uhhhhm, eeeeeyeah, ...you make "exceptions" fer bios that kin git dropped 50% in a single day as well as the MOST grossly overpigged plays on planet errth like NFLX. Ooooooh taaaaaay :-) Spekkin ov stops...thur are some GOOG indimacayshuns out thur that the "Fat Fanger" Th, May 5th problums haven't been solved. RGB, PGN, ...thur are several plays that gapola'd down but nobody noticed. Owl also found out what happens whenst news comes out to drive a gross pig down from "pig wit a nosebleed" levels wit AMLN. Thatn didn even confirm the final high it needed to take out at 22.30. Whenst (not if) the turn comes fokes is gonna be sooprised wit somma the fills they end up with on thur stop orders *-) Not everybody is ssssthinkin doom n gloom BTW...the guys runnin the compooters sho isn't and James Altucher (whoever that moron is) just came out yestermaday and sed Chinese stocks is cheep! :-) Which Fri? Well, I certainly like what I am seeing this moanin with futures up purty nicely. Yestermaday I didn like my chances fer this week so much being that they was holding the 2 sexy VIXens VIX n VXN up some how. That was a head scratcher. Like me already sed...whenst(not if) my reality hits ya it'll be like a 2X4 across da head. You woan unnerstand what hit ya actually. The GOOG news is that it is "almost" time fer permabulls to hibernate fer the winter mumphs like ya did in 2008. We woan be needing you OR Jim Cramer to let us "know" what the next great debacle will be. And whenst you reappear sumtime in spring of 2011 I will be well into Dublin my $$$ offa the sheeeyit you were waaay too skeeerd ta buy. Fair enough Mo. I agree, betting with Mr. Market alone takes up most of my time too.
So I read you are into ETF's. Aren't you concerned about decay? Wouldn't it best suit to pick good stocks then the overall market? I think in these turbulent times the stock picker will outperform the ETF's.

Gold continues it's downward path. As we said, avoid Gold.
DOW closes at it's near term resistence level.
