I wanted to check with the experts here about the price movement of a stock once it is declared to be acquired by another company?

Should we wait for some more time for stock price to get fair or sell off?

If a buyer is preferring to buy at a higher price means that stock price will touch those levels?

I am talking about BARE getting acquired by a japnese company.

It depends on whatever price the company is offered and shareholders approve. Sometimes you see the actual stock price not reflecting the exact numbers if there are still shares being floated, but it depends on whatever deal is offered and how the deal is priced into the stock by the market.

BTW, the absoloot dumbest buyout in the past few mumphs wuz GOOG's buy of ONT for about .65 centavos/share....which the idiotic shareholders turned down...so GOOG upped da bid to .78 centavos. I'm not sure who's dumber....GOOG fer bidding .78 centavos for a .15 centavos stock...or the shareholders fer turning down ANY offer :o I certainly "hope" the shareholders o'this POS that is BARE doan turn down this offer. Ifn someone comes along and offers $18+ for a stock wherst the 52 week low wasn't even low enuff...pleez! Take the freakin offer! LOL But this is what ya see whenst stocks git grossly overvalued. I mentioned it befo but I will say it agin. Watch GMCR throughout 2010 and watch how that POS of a company's stock gets absotootimussly poliaxed for paying $36 dollahs for a .20 centavos stock>>>DDRX. That is perhaps the dumbest buyout in the history of corporate America. Even dummer than somma the sheeeyit that clown of a CEO at GE did during his tenure. Jeff Immelt...what a FooKing moron. *-) 3J
