Every week one or the other statistics is getting released which is shaking the whole market up and down. This trend is going on past few weeks.

How much do you feel that as an investor we should rely on this?

Kapilricha,
I can only speak for my thoughts, but I thought this might help. Unless there is some data point that is wildly different from what is expected, it can be ignored, or left for the intraday traders. When something comes out that is a surprise, (like the september consumer confidence numbers) I usually read the Zacks analyst blog for useful information.

Most stats are released by govmint entities and are being manipulated so that Wall St can make thur adjustments well before nature runs its course. Today for instunce the GDP numba will come out MUCH better than expected after the Evil Empire of GS revised thur GDP numba downward. GS's BS allowed thur trading desks to use the selling they created to position "properly" for the rally that will take the indicies up to retest the highs....just as everybody is suddenly "cautious" *-) Don't trust any govmint numbas....don't trust any anal-yst opinions....especially Meredith Whitney. Her upgrade of the banks in July whenst the SPX was at appx 875 and then her downgrade of GS into errrnuns was classic manipulation. 3J

Well...thur ya see it...I'm "purty sure" the GDP numba was reported at 8:30 whilst I was away. When I left the ole FAZoo was only down slighty to 22.65 in PM trading...it is now down 3.27% so I ass-oom the GDP numba was better than expected....which of course is what I "expected" *-) Learn to read a chart, sheeple...and ya won't hasta werry bout ANY govmint/Wall St numbas being reported. They are immaterial to what is going to happen in the markets. *-) 3J
