I think stocks are treading on thin air and primarily optimism. That, however, is probably a good thing and the best we can do at the moment. It can build confidence in our economy no matter what the fundamentals show, but then the fundamentals can improve along with it. Sort of backwards, but it could be reality.
There are several good buys out there which are certain to improve greatly. At the same time, however, its risky, but as we know, with the most risk can come the greatest rewards. So, we take our chances, make the most intelligent choices based on proper research that we can, and go with it. Keep your portfolio balanced though, with some cash and bonds - and a little gold...
