Each week we pick a stock we predict will beat the s&p 500 and MSN Money's StockScouter's rated best pick (a ten) in their top 10 for the week.I document the stock pick on this blog, ahead of the market week.  


The objective is to provide one pick each week that will beat both the S&P 500 and also MSN's Stockscouter that has beaten the S&P500 ongoing.


Our pick last week, GOOG (Google) climbed up nearly 11 points. This happens to be MSN's stockscouter highlighted pick this week. We were one week ahead of them.


MSN's stockscouter's highlighted pick this week is GOOG


Stockscouter's top 10 this week is GOOG, LEN, CNP, NCT,CPN, SLW,BBBY, DE, DFS, FHN. 


 What makes our picks even harder to select is I restrict myself from not selecting as a pick any of the top 10 picks Stockscouter has for the week.


Our pick this week is JPM (J P Morgan) , 41.71.


 Our previous weekly picks are listed below showing the initial price (the closing price on the designated Friday) and current price (last Friday's close). We pick  them, you decide when to sell them. They are not meant to be held forever.


week 7 pick GOOG started at 754.51  now UP to 765.45


week 6 pick MON 90.92, now UP 91.16.


week 5 pick SHW 146.22, now UP to 155.51


week 4 pick..VZ(verizon) , 43.69, now UP to 47.03


 week 3 pick .. HD (home Depot), started at 56.75, now UP to 63.20.


Week 2 pick..AMZN started at 245.47, now UP to 258.10


 Week 1 pick (aug 19) SBUX started on 48.22, now 48.88.

This week's pick has been doing fabulous, JPM.. up to 42.25 today although the market had three straight down days prior to today. JPM is beating the SP500 easily and is up for the week.

disregard the above folks, the joeker is just jealous... our pick last week, JPM, is up for the week, check it out.

Before Monday's opening, we'll provide , likely, our last free weekly stock pick. Last year after a horrid week for the market, our pick, JPM actually went up in price easily beating the sp500 and the ten combined stockscouter's picks.
