So home sales are up and consumer confidence is rising, yet we're down 100 points this morning. This can't all be Cisco, can it?

So home sales are up and consumer confidence is rising, yet we're down 100 points this morning. This can't all be Cisco, can it?

A couple of years ago, we adopted a new mantra here at the home office of the completely fictional Druids Investment Group (Can You DIG It?): "If the eurodollar catches a cold, then the Standard & Poor's 500 (SPX) will catch the flu" (http://tinyurl.com/ydxaega).

It's for the same reason that buy-side went into long term treasuries last week, even though the common wisdom says that would be the worst move going forward.
