Howdy Burt

I have one small comment about Government and thier involvement. I liken the current economy to a pair of heavy weight boxers (fighters) and the government as the referee. Without a ref it would become an anything goes fight that would finish in a hurry and most likely would mean that one and possibly both parties would be damaged to the point of no return. I most defenately agree that the government as well as refs should monitor and only step in when the involvement is needed. I do agree with the assesment that many more tickers will not survive this or even next year. I do however pray that the government has the forsight to step in when and only when it is necessary to perserve what is beneficial to us all and not just a chosen few.

I think the govmint should go ahead and investigate GS so they can find out what a crook Hank Paulson is and finally find out criminals shouldn't have been given so much power. *-) then they should put him in jail and fine him and about 2000 other bank and former bank executives the billions of dollars they stole from the sheeple. That would go a loooong way towards the mounting deficits. Don't just sit there! Email yer freakin Congressman! NOOOOOOOW! *-) 3J

Sidenote. At least we know wherst NT will open whenst it begins trading in reggy hours. :-)

I would like to think the government is only refereeing, I am afraid they are being bias to the situation and I don't think it is to the common persons favor.

Here's the new symbol for Nortel (NRTLQ). It's trading at 10 cents, after getting as low as 8 cents.

When all this is overwith and not until then will we be able to correctly asses how well the gov has done. I do feel as you do at this moment in time but Im quit often wrong so we shall see. I hope I'am.
